Jackie Hardiman, Co-director,
College Avenue School

Jacqueline P. Hardiman has been working in the Child Development field for almost 20 years. Jackie left her position as a Head Teacher at Heart’s Leap School to join the Rockridge Little School staff. Previously Jackie worked at Step One Nursery School. During her six years at Step One, Jackie had the chance to serve as Head Teacher in several different classrooms with various age groups. She also served on the board of Directors.

Jackie is an expert in the Reggio-Emilia approach to early childhood education. She is committed to creating a diverse learning environment where every child feels special. She speaks three languages—English, French and Spanish—and she loves teaching Spanish to young children.

As a teacher at Rockridge Little School, Jackie makes learning Spanish fun by using songs and stories. She also incorporates her other interests—poetry, writing children’s books, ballet, theatre and piano—into the classroom.
